Irrigation Advice in the southeast region of Sierra de Gredos, Extremadura
We began our summer by providing irrigation advice to fruit growers in the southeast region of the Sierra de Gredos, located in Extremadura.
There are significant challenges due to the current legislative framework, which outlines the irrigation plan for the Tagus Hydrographic Region in Spain. This framework imposes strict limitations on water supply levels for several local plantations.
Despite these obstacles, we are committed to offering various advisory services aimed at addressing this pressing issue:
Irrigation Planning and Monitoring Systems: We are actively working on developing efficient irrigation plans and implementing monitoring systems to optimize water usage.
Advice on Water Agronomy and Technical Expertise: Our team is providing expert guidance on water management in agriculture, utilizing the best agronomic practices and technical know-how.
Localized Management and Controlled Deficit Irrigation: To tackle water scarcity, we are promoting site-specific management techniques and implementing controlled deficit irrigation strategies that ensure water is used judiciously and precisely where it is needed most.
We aim to assist fruit growers in overcoming the challenges posed by water limitations, and together, moving towards sustainable and effective irrigation practices in the region.
